I think it’s too focused on:
- Ethical theories (as opposed to people’s complex goals/desires)
- Comparing how ethical theories compare to each other, as opposed to looking forward to what the default path might be, and then thinking about what tweaks to that default path might make it more likely that we achieve a good outcome.
More positively, here’s how I would think about things:
- What is likely to happen by default
- What are cheap things that could be advocated for / structured in that would make it more likely
